Silva started working in the food industry at 17. In his longstanding experience, he has witnessed that the commonly-available packaged foods on the shelves of various supermarkets are not healthy. He also noticed that the more nutritious options were not pocket friendly for many. This market gap prompted him to bring a solution that could equip everyone with the opportunity to feed their families with better and healthier food. This is how the idea of Avatar Natural Food materialized.

Under Silva’s strategic leadership, Avatar Natural Foods creates a wide range of items, from pita bread and pita chips, cookie pie and jelly cookies to ready-to-eat meals, hummus and salads.

An essential service from Avatar Natural Foods is private labelling. Food brands can take the items produced by the company or its sister companies and sell them with their branding and packaging. The company also helps clients manufacture their product line and handle package design, packing, and shipping.

In one instance, a client that was packing their salads inhouse faced numerous challenges. They did not have enough team members to efficiently perform this task. Consequently, the quality of the labelling was subpar, and the cost was substantial, while the amount of waste generated was high. This was when Avatar Natural Foods came on board, repackaging everything at a fraction of their earlier cost. The client could increase sales by 800 percent in the next two years.

“We are a lean and agile company that believes in maintaining personal relationships with every client. We never try to be all things for all people, and our goal is to undertake selected projects and do everything for that,” adds Silva.

Avatar Natural Foods never hesitates to innovate and up the ante to efficiently serve clients. In 2023, it will set up a full cookie machine in its 120,000 sq. ft. facility and produce 2 tons of cookies per hour.
