Growing the Brand, Preserving the Experience

Protecting Brand Authenticity Across Markets

The key is knowing exactly what makes your brand unique and protecting it as you grow. For us, authenticity lives in the experience: the gauchos, the exceptional service, the salad bar, the USDA Prime meats. Those things do not change from one market to the next. We aim for true consistency across every location, so you can have the same Chama Gaúcha experience in San Antonio or in Chicago and you know exactly what to expect. Many of our guests visit us at different Chamas and they tell us this themselves. Our core values are the same everywhere. Expanding into new markets is not about reinventing the brand. It is about honoring what makes it special and carrying it with you.

Bringing Brand Presentation Up to the Experience

One thing I've become very intentional about over the last two years is closing the gap between the quality of our experience and how we present it. Our food and our hospitality were always premium, but our brand presentation had never fully matched it. So I set out to change that. I rebuilt our website from the ground up, elevated our photography and brought real consistency to our branding, our email campaigns and our promotions across every location. Because we manage our creative in-house, I was able to establish a system that keeps the brand consistent while still giving each location room to market locally. Consistency and modernizing are not in conflict. You modernize how the brand looks and works, never what it stands for. The goal was to make the brand look as good as the meal tastes. None of this changed who we are. It finally let us show it properly.

Telling the Brand Story through Customer Experience

The best insights come straight from our guests. I pay close attention to reviews and feedback and the same things come up again and again. People talk about how they celebrated with us, the service that made them feel like part of the family, the experience more than any single cut of meat. That tells me what our brand truly means to people and I build our storytelling around it. Instead of guessing what to say, I echo back what our guests already love. Brazilian tradition, family and celebration are the foundation of everything we do and our guests confirm that is exactly what they feel when they visit.

The key is knowing exactly what makes your brand unique and protecting it as you grow.

Making Digital Presence the New First Impression

Guests research before they ever walk through the door. They read reviews, scan photos and look you up on social media before stepping inside your restaurant. Your digital presence is the new first impression and it has to be as polished as the dining room. That is a big part of why we invested so much in elevating our brand these past two years. When someone finds you online, what they see has to match the quality of what they will experience at the table. The other shift I see is a real craving for authenticity and craftsmanship. People are pushing back against anything that feels artificial. I have noticed it all over social media, when a restaurant uses AI generated images, the comments call it out immediately. Guests notice those things and they care. The brands that will grow are the ones that show up online looking polished but still human at the same time. For us, authenticity is not a trend we chase. It is what we serve every night.

Preserving the Experience through Growth

What I've learned is that you have to know exactly what makes you special and protect it above everything else. Growth puts pressure on you to cut corners in marketing and chase every passing trend, but nobody is going to remember the brand that repeated the same weekly TikTok trend as everyone else. Do not do what everybody else is doing. Keep it authentically yours. Decide what is non-negotiable for you, whether that is your hospitality, your quality or your traditions. Then make those things scalable. The goal isn't to make every location identical; it's to make sure every location feels unmistakably like your brand.
