Hadorn, who previously served as UCC Europe’s Chief Financial Officer, assumes the role of CEO from Paul Molyneux, who has stepped down after having led the business through the pandemic.
FREMONT, CA: Samuel Hadorn has been named the new European CEO of UCC Europe as the company undergoes organisational changes. Previously serving as UCC Europe's Chief Financial Officer since 2020, Hadorn takes over from Paul Molyneux, who stepped down as CEO after leading the business in 2018.
UCC Europe, a provider of comprehensive coffee solutions for hospitality businesses, stated that the change in leadership aligns with a revised organisational structure. The company is transitioning from a regional focus to operating through commercial business units. These units will concentrate on retail coffee and out-of-home operations and will be supported by marketing, sustainability, finance, HR, and IT functions.
Hadorn expressed that the new structure will enable the company to unlock its full potential and enhance the customer experience in retail and out-of-home sectors. The emphasis is on delivering the right coffee at the right time and the right price. UCC Europe will invest in new roasters and packing lines and expand its maintenance teams to achieve this. Before becoming CFO of UCC Europe, Hadorn held the same position at UCC Spain and Portugal.
Hadorn's appointment follows the recent announcement of Elaine Swift as the new Out-of-Home Director of UCC Coffee Europe. UCC Europe provides comprehensive coffee solutions to out-of-home and retail businesses across major European coffee markets. The company, which is part of the UCC Group based in Japan, employs 1,600 staff members.
